Whopper Claw

Whopper claw

Whopper Claw results

Not bad, missing some detail, but usable

Whopper Claw

The idea behind the bait is that the claws are always floating upward. As if it was a real claw in defence mode

Swim baits

So the POP swim bait mold is pourous. The results aren't great. Not sure a fish would notice but im going with RTV  anyway.

Stinger Tail Fry

A few more baits

A few of the crappie jigs I poured today.

15 yards

I shot these quarters off an arrow knock at 15 yards with my recurve.

Homemade Broad Head

280 grains of pure love. Not totally ideal but was dune to make the arrow & head. Shoots well but pretty slow.

Ouch

So my day isn't so bad after all. Talk about a sharp pain.

Chilly RTV

The RTV was below recommended temps so I had to bring it up a bit

Ready for RTV

Another craw pic

Some new crawls ready to be submerged in RTV

Spill Way At Lake Shelby

A few pics from the spillway at Lake Shelby.  I didn’t catch anything but believe if I had some shiners I would have.

Ready to Pour

Ok, I am out of RTV. I going to try a POP mold. I'm notta big fan of POP
but we will see how they turn out

A Few New Baits

I carved a few new baits. The swim baits are to use with my newly designed
Umbrella Rig. The craw was an Idea I've had for a while.

Skipjacks at the Taylorsville Spillway

What a blast. Id never caught these fish before.  They fight like hell and jump a foot out of the water. They remind me of tarpon.   Some people up here in Ky call them Creek Tarpon....hahaha.

I was using a silver shad rap on a medium action rod.
They will make for great catfish bait in the spring.

Falls of the Ohio JANUARY 2nd 2012

Wow it was cold out there.  The river was up 30+ feet.   Didn't catch squat. But it was better than setting on the couch.

Good job.

After Our Trip To The Woods In Southern Indiana

After we cleaned the deer we sat down for lunch.  Shana (Brandon's wife) cooked a superb BBQ venison.  We then  went with Brandon down to a neighboring farm owners farm.  We met Don and his son Austin. There we sat around the fire and cooked some of the deer over the fire on sticks. What a great experience. Those folks redefine southern hospitality

A big thanks to Shana, Brandon, Don, and Austin.

Southern Indiana Hunting Trip

We spent the morning hunting a friends farm in southern Indiana. We

arrived a little later than ideal.  No worries, Brandon is very familiar
with his deer and there patterns.

We entered the woods about 10 minutes after first light. We did exactly as
he suggested  and within 10 short minutes we had deer all around us.

Once again,  Andrew has come through.

The pictures tell the rest.....
